Clef Verte – European Label<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Clef Verte label<\/strong> is the first European label to guarantee the environmental sustainability of tourist accommodations.<\/p>\n

Clef Verte is based on fundamental principles of responsible use of natural resources and daily practices that aim to preserve the environment and ensure your satisfaction.<\/p>\n

For several years, Camping Club Les Galets in the Languedoc-Roussillon region has been committed to respecting the environment of our Catalan territory. It was the first establishment in Argel\u00e8s-sur-Mer to receive this prestigious and demanding label in 2007.<\/p>\n

The label guarantees a campsite where the environment is preserved on the site, with ecological practices and strong actions in awareness and promotion of sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Here are the main actions taken by Camping Les Galets<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

No pesticides or herbicides<\/strong>: Our workers carry out all green space work without chemicals: manual work, clearing, mulching\u2026
\nUse of eco-labeled cleaning products<\/strong>: The maintenance teams only use certified eco-friendly products to clean the mobile homes and sanitary facilities.
\nWater savings<\/strong>: Significant savings have been made in water consumption through leak detection, planting species suited to the Mediterranean climate, and using water-saving equipment (taps, showers\u2026).
\nUse of renewable energy<\/strong>: Solar panels that produce most of the hot water for the sanitary facilities, solar lighting throughout the park.<\/p>\n

\"Parc<\/p>\n

LPO Refuge – League for the Protection of Birds<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the initiative of Jean-Michel Bey, the uncle of the campsite manager Manuel Bey, Camping Les Galets transformed its 5-hectare wooded park into a bird sanctuary. This project is in line with the campsite’s historic decision to take actions for sustainable development. The non-use of chemical products for green space management provides a soil naturally rich in insects for our feathered friends.<\/p>\n

More than one hundred birdhouses have been installed across the campsite, generally attached to trees, to offer suitable shelter for species in need. About ten bird species live and breed in the park of Camping Les Galets: swallows, robins, sparrows, hoopoes, blackbirds, woodpeckers, pigeons, redstarts, egrets, tits, owls…<\/p>\n

We also take our commitment into account with the new plantings we make every year. We choose shrubs and trees that are beneficial for creating healthy ecosystems (bee-friendly plants, insect shelters…).<\/p>\n

Since 2019, we have taken steps to be certified as an LPO refuge. The League for the Protection of Birds supports us by providing the necessary information to maintain the birdhouses, feed fragile species in winter, and equip ourselves to foster reproduction.<\/p>\n

Camping Qualit\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

Camping Les Galets has chosen to be audited by the Camping Qualit\u00e9 label to improve and guarantee a high level of quality for its customers. The criteria for obtaining the Camping Qualit\u00e9 label are more stringent than the 4-star certification, meaning we go further in terms of requirements to ensure you have an excellent stay with us.<\/p>\n

Feel free to contact us for more information. Florence and Chantal, who have worked at the campsite for over 15 years, know the campsite and the Argel\u00e8s-sur-Mer area very well. They will be happy to give advice and, during your stay, will gladly share their passion for this little corner of paradise that is the Catalan region.<\/p>\n

This network of more than 300 campsites allows us to improve our offerings and services every year. We are united among serious, committed independent campsites focused on customer satisfaction.
